GOAT Movie Review Vijay’s Latest Falls Short of Expectations
GOAT Movie Review Vijay’s Latest Falls Short of Expectations and Fails to Impress Fans Misses The Mark Completely Listed Below.
Introduction:
GOAT Movie Review The Tamil Actor Vijay Has Earned A Good Following In Both The Telugu Statesos In The Last Few Years. Although Critics Did Not Respond Very Positively, His Last Released Movie Leo Opened To An Enormous Extent. Currently, With His New Movie The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) Directed By Venkat Prabhu, Vijay is Again In The Lime Light More So As He Moves To Politics From Acting. Now With Such High Stakes Let Us See What goat Will Look Like.
Plot Overview:
The Film goat Features Vijay As Gandhi Who Works As A Covert Agent Although Desu Buff … This Secret Is Kept From Anyone Including His Wife (Sneha) Thus; His Dual Life Is Well Concealed. When His Wife Starts Developing Suspicions On His Unusual Conduct, Gandhi Takes Her And Their Child To Thailand Only To Be Used As A Cover For One Of His Assignments. But, Misfortune Follows Him When Terrorists Attack His Family And This Kills His Son Jeevan. GOAT Movie This Greatly Displeases Gandhi’s Wife And She Opts To Leave Him For The Young Girl They Have Together Who Afterwards Got Pregnant And Gave Birth.
Years Later, While Gandhi Continued Working For The Secret Service, He Is Sent To Europe And There He Meets A Young Man And Recognizes Him As The Copy Of His Son Who Died. This Man Is Jeevan, Gandhi Makes Him Come Back Into His Life Not Knowing His Own Son Has Ulterior Motives. Following This Aspect, What One Can See Is A Battle Between The Father And The Son With Some Dramatic Turns.
Analysis:
Venkat Prabhu Who Came Up With A Different Technique Of Flavor In His Movies Has Both Hit Movies Such as Gambler And Maanadu and Custody. To Be Honest, Expectations Were High For Goat … Especially Given That Vijay Was Board the Director’s Chair But The Film Only [has] Commercial Components And, At Best A [poor] Attempt At A Thriller Added.
The Concept Of GOAT Movie Is Entirely Derived From The Movie Gemini Man Does Not Receive An Innovative Twist Here. Still, One Can Trace Venkat Prabhu’s Peculiar Style In A Couple Of Scenes, Including The Opening And The Ending Scene That Takes Place At The Csk Cricket Match.
Despite Being Very Recomposed At The Beginning, With Actions Scenes And Drama Involving A Family, The First Half Of The Movie Is Good!! However, As Soon As The Theme Of Enmity Between The Father And The Son Is Introduced The Film Pulls Off. The Anticipation Of The Son’s Homecoming And His Sinister Plan Are Hence Not Well Executed And The Reception Thereof Only Leaves More Questions.
Paradoxes Become A Significant Issue In The Plot Whereby One Cannot Understand Why, For Instance, Gandhi Didn’t Investigate The Death Of His Son And Why He Did Not Suspect When The Son Came Back. Still, For Someone Who Is Hailed As The Best The Secret Agent Industry Has To Offer, He Does Some Incredibly Foolish Things. The Movie Also Suffers From Unnecessary Songs In The Movie And Underdeveloped Character Arcs Thus Weakening The Message Conveyed By The Movie.
Performances:
Vijay As Per His Image Gives His Best And Energetic Performance But The Movie Does Not Allow Him To Exhibit His Caliber To The Fullest. He Does A Fairly Good Job Of Portraying The Older And Younger Versions Of His Character With A Degree Of Variation, But There’s Something Desperately Off About The degenerating technology They’ve Used To Make Him Look Like That. The Director Is Good In Handling The Emotions Of Vijay But The Absence Of A Good Story Line May Hinder Him From Portraying His Best.
Sneha Renders A Decent Performace As Gandhi’s Wife, Nonetheless, Her Screen Time Is Quite Compromised. The Glamorous South Indian Beauty Meenakshi Chaudhary Who Is A Love Interest Of The Young Vijay Also Has Very Little Roles To Play In This Flick And Gets To Dance In Almost A Song Or Two. Special Mention Has To Be Made Of The Fact That The Actress Who Portrays The Role Of Vijay’s Daughter Has More Screen Space And Relevance To The Film Than Meenakshi.
Finally, Prabhudeva Who Scored High And Set Benchmarks In The First Half Of The Film, Deteriorates In The Subsequent Periods Of The Movie. Mohan As The villain, Is More Experienced But He Is Unable To Carry The Look And The Feel Of His Character Seems Off. Others Like Jayaram, Vaibhav, And Aamir Ajmal Are Also Okay In Their Performances But None Of Them Has Given A Memorable Performance Either.
Technical Aspects:
The Last Point That Can Be Mentioned Is The Let-Down In Terms Of Music In The Show Goat. Since Vijay’s Last Few Movies (Master, Beast, Leo) Had Great Soundtracks And Background Scores Expectations Were High For Yuvan Shankar Raja’s Contribution As Well. Unfortunately, The Music In Goat Can Be Disappointing Because None Of the Songs Are Enjoyable. The Background Score That Is Expected To Thrill In The Movie’s Highlighting Scenes Is Also Seemingly Missing The Kind Of Charge Expected From A Vijay Movie.
The Artistic Direction, Visuals, And Cinematography Work Done By Siddhartha Nuni Is Reasonable Enough To Capture Action Sequences And European Location Sensuously. It Is Very Glossy And Professionally Shot And Acted But That’s The Velvet Glove Over The Iron Fist Of The Lifeless Script.
Venkat Prabhu’s Direction:
Being A Fast Paced Screen Play Writer Who Always Kept the Audience In the Forefront, Venkat Prabhu Seems to Have Lost His Touch With Goat. In His Previous Films, Sy’s Films Were Entertaining, But They Also Had Ample Substance To Hook The Audience; However, In goat, Sy Fails To Pursue The Proper Balance. There Is Unnatural Scene-To-Scene Transition In The Movie Wherein Some Scenes Are Stretched Beyond Their Limits.
Astonishingly Venkat Prabhu Lets Go An Opportunity To Show Off His Hero, Vijay Efficiently. There Is Some Action At Last Through The Climax Where There Is A Csk Cricket Match Scene The Movie Does Not Create Any Impact. After Scratching His Previous Film Gemini Man Propagandas, Venkat Prabhu’s Attempt Of Mixing Commercial Telugu Flavour Derails The Goat When It Was Undecidedly Abandoned In Between Two Commercial Stools.
Final Verdict:
With Every Formula For A Superhit Film, Toi Has All The Elements For A Probable Hit: The Story Of An Action Flick, Vijay In The Lead Role And Venkat Prabhu Directing The Film. The Greatest Of All Time Movie Review Stories In This Film Do Not Match The Audience Expectations. There Is Very Little Emotional Depth, Rather an Illogical Plot, And Music that is Not As Impressive As One Would Expect Goat To Be. While Fans Are Waiting For Vijay’s Next Move Before Joining Politics GOAT Movie Is Disappointing.
Verdict: GOAT Movie Review – Not Greatest Only An Average One
In Totality, Though Vijay Came Out With A Good Show The Weakest Link Is Just That The Movie Lacks Good Periods And Is Not Near A Remake Of Tackled Formula.
